kayaking and many other water sports available.
Els Tamarells Colom
This village still has the charm of an unspoilt Menorcan fishing village. Despite its unspoilt character
there is a corner shop type supermarket, several bars and a restaurant by the waters edge.
In season local fisherman will ferry you to the nearby island 'Illa Den Colom' where you can
lie undisturbed on one of the island's two virgin beaches. You will be asked if you want to be dropped off
at the beach with the sun or one with the shade.
For the more energetic three person sea kayaks can be hired by the hour. Paddle around the headland on the left handside of the
bay and enjoy the tiny hidden beaches there, opposite the Illa Den Colom.
Rambla Tower is a tower defense located between the village beaches and Sa Torreta, in Mahon, was built during the British occupation of Menorca, at the end of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
It is easy to visit this area with buses runnig throughout the day in season from Mahon and by car the drive of about 8 miles
is along good roads.
