Cala Mitjana is a fairly isolated cove on the southern coast close to Cala Galdana.
from which you can walk the 1.5 kms to along
the Camà de Cavalls
in about 20 minutes.
It can be reached by car and a short stroll from the a free car park. The car park
is found from the Ferreries to Cala Galdana Road. Just before you reach Cala Galdana
take the rough track on the left which leads you to the car park, which you can see
in the top right corner of the map below.
This little known cove with low white cliffs covered in pine trees, has excellent
snorkeling and swimming conditions. The water in this cove is renouned for its
turquoise colour.
Close by is the smaller Cala Mitjaneta, pictured on the left, round the
headland towards Cala Galdana as shown in the bottom left hand corner of the map below.
These beaches are in totally undeveloped so remember to come well prepared as there are no
facilities here.
