| I and my family have grown to love renting Villas in Menorca for the freedom and flexibility of Villa holidays. The first time I booked a villa in Menorca was in 2004. It was the year after my first visit to Menorca and a somewhat expensive and disasterous hotel stay on the Island, but that is another story! I booked with James Villas because they had availability in September when we wanted to go! However I soon realised why they has such a good reputation. We had taken an early flight and arrived at Mahon Airport just after 8.30am on Friday morning. Gathering our luggage we left the baggage hall to be greeted by the Valla Car Hire representative, as arranged with James Villas. The process of car collection had been honed to a fine art and by 9.45 we were at the Villa in Binibeca despite my best endeavours to get lost on the short drive from the airport. My wife and I sat in the car outside the Villa and remembered that we had been told the Villa may not be available until the afternoon. Venturing forth I met up with the gardener and despite my limited Spanish and his stilted English managed to establish that the Villa had recently been cleaned and that the keys were secreted in the Villa as stated. By 10.00am we were in the Villa and starting to unwind as you do on arrival. The gardener continued to make the garden as inviting as the villa and we started to unpack. The welcome pack supplied was sufficient and the supermarket close by as described. By just after lunch the swimming pools call could not be ignored and our holiday began in ernest. The feeling of a relaxed holiday continued on Saturday morning with the arrival of the James Villas representative, an English lady who lived locally and was charming and knowledgable. We have now rented from James Villas and can recommend them highly. The organisation in the UK is very good and any problems are dealt with speedily and courteously. Every one of the six villas we have rented has been exactly as described. The Villa locations have been excellent with facilities, such as supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. We have had the odd problems whilst renting and always the Representative has been instantly available and has had the problem solved very quickly. On the one occassion we had car troubles Valla Car Hire exchanged the vehicle within little more than an hour with minimum disruption to our holiday. |
