    Leave Torre den Galmes

This prehistoric site is at the highest part of the hill with views from Monte Toro to the south coast. There is an area of taulas with fallen capitals. Archaeological works have revealed that this settlement was inhabited for many centuries and continued after the Roman period.

In fact there appears to be an ingenious water storage and filtration systemof Roman origins which makes use of stones from an earlier period.

The site is located just off the Alaior to Son Bou road. Take the sign from the road and you will see in the distancethe three talaiots about 2kms away (1.2 miles). The paved roads leads around the site making this one of the easiest prehistoric sites to visit especially for the disabled.
