S’Arenal des/d'en Castell is considered to be one of the most beautiful places of the northern coast of Menorca. It is close to the village with the same name, between Raconada des Forats and ses Llautanies. This beach is nine kilometres from es Mercadal and at 13 kilometres from Alaior.

This large semicircular bay has rare vegetation and a narrow natural rocky entrance. The swell is moderate, and the bay is surrounded by residential houses.

This beach is part of a larger bay enclosed by Punta Codolada and Taronger. The beach tends to become very crowded with locals and tourists.

For health and safety reasons, the municipal ordinances ban pets on beaches.

Arenal de s'Olla de Son Saura, Arenal de Son Saura, Arenal de s'Olla or Platja de Son Parc as it was originally called is next to the village Son Parc. Close by is Cap Gros and na Tortuga. The beach is 14 kilometres from es Mercadal and 15 kilometers from Alaior.

This sea inlet is characterized by having a quite big size, The beach is large and sandy with a system of dunes covered in scrub bushes and pines. The cliffs here are low and the beach has a gentle slope. on the right side there are apartments and to the left there is a restaurant.

For health and safety reasons, the municipal ordinances ban pets on beaches.

Talis or Atalis is situated 5 kilometres from es Migjorn Gran. The beach is between Punta d'Atálix and Racó des Cavalls, close to the villages of Santo Tomàs (west) and the derelict Torre de Son Bou or Esfondrada .

This coastal corner is the western part of the eight hectometres of low coast leading to Platja de Son Bou in the east. This beach is the biggest on the island of Menorca.

This beach is very small and is surrounded by steep rocky areas with no vegetation. Agricultural land borders the beach in the southwest. This sandy beach is exposed to the wind from the southeast-south-southwest. There is a moderate swell, crystal clear waterswith some areas of seaweed. It is not generally crowded.

Access by car is easy to Platja de Sant Tomàs. Cars can be left on a free parking area by Sant Tomàs. To reach the beach at Talis you have to walk on a track along the coast. You can also reach this beach by public transport during the high season.

Binibeca Nou is 6 kilometres from Sant Lluís between Punta Binibeca and Cala Torret and next to the village Binibeca or Binibéquer. This resort area is styled on an old fishingvillage by the architect Antoni Sintes). From the coast you can see Escull Illots de Binibeca.

This beach is the result of a large u-shaped inlet which is surrounded by low rocks. It is quite a large beach with fine-grained white sand. There are small system of dunes at the rear which are covered inscrub. The beach has a gentle slope, calm crystal clear water with some seaweed at the edges of the beach.This beach can be very crowded at times.The underwater conditions for diving are excellent.

The access by car is easy and cars can be left on a free parking area near the beach. The beach is also accessible by public transport during the summer season.

Binimel·là also known as Platja de Binimel·là (Es Mercadal)

Cala Binimel.là, 10 kilometres from es Mercadal is in the area of Punta d'en Bal.la and Illot close to Cala de Pregonda.

This inlet is u-shaped and large with a system of dunes and a wetland irrigated by a river at the back of the beach. The beach has moderate swell and enjoys a gentle breeze.The beach is within this Àrea Natural d'Especial Interès and is thus completely undeveloped.

Access by car involves a two kilometres drive along on a minor track to a free parking area.

For health and safety reasons local laws ban pets on beaches

Cala Alcaufar also known as Cala Alcalfar (Sant Lluís)

Cala Alcaufar or Cala Alcalfar is some 5 kilometres from Sant Lluís. The beach is located between Punta Prima and Rafalet, next to the village ofAlcaufar.

This beach is long, narrow inlet surrounded by fairly high rocks. The beach has a gentle slope, crystal clear water with some seaweed at the edges.The beach does not generally become crowded.

Access by car is straightforward, just follow the signs to a free parking area close to the beach.

Cala Binidali (Maó)

Cala Binidali is 9 kilometres from Maó between Morro de sa Cova Baixa and Cala Biniparratx.

This beach is in an narrow s-shaped inlet. The area of sand is very small and the inlet is enclosed by steep cliffs that reach a height of 40 metres.

On the right side of the inlet there is the village. The beach does suffer from strong currents due to the wind from the northeast and north.

Access by car is easy follow the signs to the village of Sant Climent, near to the Airport and then head for the free parking area. The beach is reached on foot down a steep pathway.

Cala Blanca (Blue flag) (Cuitadella)

Cala Blanca is one of the Ciutadella Area Beaches and is 5 Kms from the city of Ciutadella, between Cala Santandria and s'Aigo Dolça and next to the village of Cala Blanca.

Its name come from the colour of the sands which are virtual surrounded by a rocky area on top of which are villas and some tourist shops and cafes amidst pine woods.

To the rear of the beach are dunes and further tourist facilities. The beach is however rather exposed to westerly winds but enjoys a gently sloping beach and calm water conditions.

Access by car is easy as the beach is well signposted. There is a free parking close to the beach and Cala Blanca can also be reached by public transport. The easy of access does make the beach crowded at timeswith both visitors and locals.
