 | | Cala Blanca Cala Blanca is one of the Ciutadella Area Beaches and is 5 Kms from the city of Ciutadella, between Cala Santandria and s'Aigo Dolça and next to the village of Cala Blanca. Its name come from the colour of the sands which are virtual surroundedby a rocky area on top of which are villas and some tourist shops and cafes amidst pine woods. To the rear of the beach are dunes and further tourist facilities. The beach is however rather exposed to westerly winds but enjoys a gently sloping beach and calm water conditions. This sea inlet is characterized by being u-shaped, it is very small, the sandy ground is surrounded by rocky areas which are not very high, on the top of which there are touristic and resiential buildings, at the rear you will find a system of dunes and some touristic buildings as well, some small but thick pine woods in the surroundings, it is exposed to the wind from the west, a gentle breeze, quiet water, the slope is gentle, and it is very crowded by local visitors and tourists. Accessby car is easy as the beach is well signposted. There is a free parking close to the beach and Cala Blanca can also be reached by public transport. The easy of access does make the beachcrowded with visits and locals at times.
