Are All Inclusive Holidays Killing Menorca?

In late September we were on holiday in Son Bou Menorca and were suprised how quiet it was in the center of Son Bou.

We spoke to a number of the business peple we know and were told that the hotels had become "All Inclusive" which had resulted in the visitors rarely venturing from the comfort of their hotels.

Shops were suffering as was the nightlife. It might be a cheap form of holiday but if the areas around these hotels become a desert of closed restaurant, shops and nightlife we will all become the poorer.
